From the North, take the A55 towards Bangor/Holyhead then follow the A487 through Caernarfon. From Caernarfon, carry on through towards Porthmadog.
Twelve miles after Caernarfon, pass through the village of Bryncir. Continue past the Madhia restaurant on the left. Take the third turning on the left (immediately after “Garndolbenmaen” turning) signposted “Cwm Pennant” (brown Hostel sign on the other side of the road). Follow the road for about a mile until the next junction where you will turn right over a small humpback bridge. After the bridge, take the first on the left, following the brown Hostel sign again. A few hundred yards later, the road creates a fork – take the left hand fork, you will see our entrance sign.
From the South, take the A498 which passes through Beddgelert, carry on down towards Porthmadog. Just outside Tremadog, at the roundabout, take the A487 for a couple of miles. After the village of Penmorfa, at the top of the hill, take a right towards Cwm Pennant and the Woollen Mill (there will be a brown hostel sign). Follow this road until you see another brown hostel sign on your left. This road will wind its way down, then over a bridge and finally to a fork where you will find the final brown hostel sign towards Cwm Pennant Hostel.
